TERMS & CONDITIONS – Scuba Vida

Terms & Conditions – Scuba Vida | Scuba Diving Varadero Cuba

These Terms govern your bookings for Reef Diving, First Scuba Experience, Wreck Diving (Damuji), Snorkeling Adventures, PSS Courses (Open Water from $250 USD, Advanced, Specialty, Rescue), Villa Scuba Vida, Havana Tours, and Private Transfers.

1. Booking & Payment

• All dives are subject to availability – Limited spots available daily
• Deposit: 20% for fun dives, 50% for PSS Courses to activate e-learning
• Prices in USD, include instructor, full equipment, hotel pickup in Varadero
• Booking confirmed only after written confirmation via email or WhatsApp

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Diving Experiences (Reef, Wreck, Snorkeling, First Scuba):
• More than 48h before: Full refund minus 10% fee, or free rescheduling
• 24-48h before: 50% refund or free rescheduling
• Less than 24h or no-show: No refund
PSS Courses:
• More than 7 days: Full refund minus $30 e-learning fee
• 3-7 days: 50% refund
• Less than 72h: No refund, but reschedule within 12 months
Weather: If WE cancel due to unsafe sea conditions, wind, or visibility, you get a full refund or free rescheduling.

3. Diving Requirements & Safety

• You must complete medical questionnaire truthfully. If you have medical conditions, you need physician clearance within last 12 months
• Minimum age 10 for First Scuba Experience
• You must dive within your certification limits
• No diving under influence of alcohol/drugs within 12 hours
• Damuji Wreck: No penetration allowed – fragmented wreck, sharp metal hazard

4. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Scuba diving has inherent risks (decompression sickness, barotrauma, drowning, boat travel, shore entry). You voluntarily assume these risks and will complete a Liability Release waiver before diving. We strongly recommend dive/travel insurance.

5. Responsible Diving

• Maintain buoyancy, do not touch coral or marine animals
• Do not stand on reef, do not collect shells
• Follow guide instructions

6. Photos & Media

We may take photos/videos for safety and social media (Instagram @scubavidadive). Tell us before the dive if you do NOT want to be photographed

7. Intellectual Property

All content on scubavidadive.com including blog articles, photos, videos is property of Scuba Vida.

8. Governing Law

Governed by laws of Cuba. Jurisdiction Matanzas, Cuba.
